Sarah Barr, D.V.M.
Dr. Sarah Barr was born in Zanesville,
Ohio, where she grew up working on a Quarter Horse breeding
farm. While in Ohio, she gained experience on both
Thoroughbred and Standardbred racetracks as a veterinary
assistant, and as an employee of the Ohio State Racing
Commission.
Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Science
degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Kentucky.
During her four years in Lexington, she worked on a breeding
farm and at the Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton sales. She
graduated from The Ohio State University College of
Veterinary Medicine in June 2006 and joined Teigland,
Franklin, and Brokken the same month.
Dr. Barr is a member of the American
Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association
of Equine Practitioners, and the Florida Association of
Equine Practitioners.
Dr. Barr’s areas of interest are lameness
evaluation, radiology and ultrasound, and upper airway
evaluation. She works at Palm Meadows Training Center in
the winter and Delaware Park in the summer months.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys running,
traveling, and being trained by her new Australian Sheppard,
Lani.
