THOMAS REID, V.M.D.
Dr. Tom Reid has been interested
in horses, horse racing and veterinary medicine for
most of his life. Growing up in rural Chester
County, Pennsylvania, he actively participated in
pony club, pony racing and fox hunting. He also
spent a great deal of time at New Bolton Center
where his father taught large animal radiology.
Dr. Reid graduated from the
University Of Pennsylvania, School Of Veterinary
Medicine in 1996. He practiced for seven years at
racetracks in Maryland and Virginia before moving to
Delaware in 2003. In the spring of 2004, he joined
Teigland, Franklin and Brokken’s Mid-Atlantic
Division.
His practice interests lie in
lameness evaluation, diagnostic imaging and
performance medicine. Dr. Reid particularly enjoys
advising and educating clients on treatment
modalities and therapeutic plans to optimize their
horses’ performances.
When not working at the track, Dr.
Reid enjoys spending time with his wife, Alysia, and
their two children, Connor and Becca. He also
enjoys playing Texas Hold’em, riding horses and
fishing.
